Dent Technique is proud to be attending the French Car show FCS 2010 at Rockingham Motor Speedway on Sunday June 13th 2010. This is the first time we have attended the show and by the looks of previous years photos and feed back from certain customers it looks like a quality day out will be had by all.
We will be displaying one of our Peugeot 206 vans on the stand as well as various information about our services and also a trained technician close to hand to answer any questions. In addition we will be also carrying out repairs to vehicles on the day either by appointment and on a first come first served basis. Paintless Dent Removal is a highly skilled profession & as you can see from the pictures below it takes alot of care & attention to detail to remove a dent form a car in an area such as this.
The dent on this virtually new Audi A4 may only be small but the problem lies in trying to restore the panel back to it’s orginal condition without cracking the paintwork.
When a dent such as this is on a “Swage line” you need to be very skilled to restore the line back into the panel – but in this case not only is it on a “Swage Line”, it’s also in a area where you are limited with the amount of flex you have to work with in the metal .

These photos show a dent repair recently carried out on a Citroen Picasso, the customer visited a couple of bodyshops to get quotations to have the dent removed & was shocked by the prices he had been Quoted.

A chat at a local networking breakfast with Dent-Technique owner Paul Phillips started Joshua Cain off on the road to success with his Rutland and Northamptonshire franchise. Fed-up with the nine to five grind of daily working life Joshua decided it was time to learn a new trade and run his own business. “I’d worked as an estate agent, a web designer and a medical insurance salesman but none of these jobs offered me real satisfaction,” Joshua explained, “whilst attending a local business networking event I met Paul and got chatting about his company.” Over the next 12 months Joshua bumped into Paul at a number of similar functions, each time learning more about franchising and in particular Dent-Technique.“As time passed I was becoming increasingly despondent in my current role and I was determined to become my own boss,” Joshua explained. “I had heard of franchising but thought it was only open to large corporate companies requiring huge investment. It wasn’t until my meetings with Paul that I found out that my aspirations could be achieved with a much smaller investment,” he continued.“My conversations with Paul led me to finding out more about his business and the paintless dent removal service. Glynn Lewin became a Dent-Technique franchisee for the Nottingham area after he decided a new challenge in his working life was needed. Being made redundant at the age of 42 may be daunting for most people but for Warrington Dent-Technique franchise holder Alan Gribben, it gave him the incentive he needed to change career direction and run his own business. After 12 years behind the wheel of an HGV, Alan found himself in a situation that provided him with the ideal time in which to make a positive change. “I’d always had plans to be my own boss one day,” said Alan, “I decided that I wasn’t going to let my redundancy situation get me down and started thinking how I was going to use the redundancy money as financial backing for my new career.”Whilst Alan knew a little about franchising, Internet research and industry magazines provided further information on exactly how it worked and what business opportunities were available. “I am really fanatical about cars so my first point of call was to find something in this field,” continued Alan, “I searched high and low for something that would suit me and gathered lots of information but was particularly drawn to paintless dent removal.
